Did anyone have issues with the cord not straighening out? Ive heard they can look crooked and not straight??
Mine looked a little kinked for a week or so but now they are perfectly straight.
How do I physically shorten the length of the cord? Simply trying to pull it through the top did not get it to budge...
We pulled ours through the top without a problem. Hopefully there is a screw somewhere that needs to be taken out. The cord has always been loose on the light fixtures we have purchased.
What light bulbs have you found to work well? Tried 60 watt equiv soft white (2 above kitchen island) and it was too dim.
Hello, if you want bright light, you can choose LED bulb, only make sure the bulb base is E26 will be OK
What is the largest diameter of the glass shade?
The lower edge of the globe flares out to 8.25 inches on my light, but it is not made like the one in this picture. It flares out at the bottom.

ceiling electric isn't directly over my table, can I drape over hook or through pulley so it hangs directly over table?
The line the globes are dropped from are like a electrical cord. Plenty flexible to bend to where ever you want. The only problem I could see is getting it to be complimentary to the fixture. Would take some creativity.

Not on its own, no. I suppose a dimming light switch would make it possible.

Can you add a metal rod over the soft cord?
It comes with cap that bolts to your box. A compression fitting holds the wire in place. I don't understand the purpose of the metal rod. I would said no you cant.

I think so ... I bought a set of four lamps of these and I have placed them all in line to light them all by a dimmer. But I do believe that you can use them individually ... I hope to answer your question.

I don't think it will cover. My plate is just over 4"
How hard would it be to convert from hard wire to plug in cord?
Probably not that difficult. Need to get a mail plug and attach it to the end. Cut the end of the cord close to the ceiling fixture and attach it. If you want to extend the cord will be more difficult.
Ad says these are gass..a review said they are acrylic...which is it?
